I believe that life should be lived to the fullest. So I spend my days traveling the world, racing my bike and making new memories. I also believe that variety is the spice of life, so I juggle my time between my roadie, MTB and cyclocross bike, even dabbling in gravity and track in the past with my partner of nine years Jarrod Moroni in tow.
I grew up competing in athletics, marathons and triathlon from a young age before eventually turning to cycling in 2004. Although my initial passion was for track racing, where I earned a bronze medal at the Junior World Track Championships for the Individual Pursuit, upon entering the senior ranks my attention quickly turned to road. In my third year with the Australian Institute of Sport I lost my love for cycling and decided to try out the 'normal life' for a while. I met a boy, moved to Bendigo and started working full-time.
Instead of falling victim to an unhealthy lifestyle, I discovered a new challenge in the sport of mountain biking and hit the 'come-back' trail. First endurance events, then stage-races, through to cross country, eliminator and this year through to gravity. It didn't take long for me to get back that competitive streak and scope out state and national level events, before last year returning to Europe and competing in the Commonwealth Games. Along the way I have been hampered by a back injury and glandular fever but every setback makes me yearn that top step even more.
In 2015 I was crowned the Australian Road Race Champion and signed with one of the leading Women's professional cycling teams in Wiggle High 5. Last year I turned my focus back to the MTB in what would be an unsuccessful attempt to qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio; I was selected as the reserve athlete. So onto the next chapter with my focus currently balanced between the road and the MTB. In 2017, I spent four months in the US racing with the American registered UCI Women's Team Hagens Berman | Supermint and claimed 28 podiums. I since returned to Australia and back to the dirt and was crowned the Australian Cyclocross Champion. I spent a less successful year with HBS in 2018 and when my father-in-law fell ill I decided to return to racing in Australia.
2019 saw me join Roxsolt Attaquer alongside Kelvin Rundle. We pulled together a formidable line-up for the season which saw us win the National Road Series Individual and Teams classifications. In 2020 we registered as a UCI team but COVID-19 stumped our plans for an International season. In 2021 we've changed our name to Roxsolt Liv SRAM and expanded to become a multi-discipline team, focussing on road, dirt and gravel and we're excited for what the year will bring...
